God’s promise to Abraham in Genesis 12 is that He would make him into a great nation so that he would be a blessing to all the families of the earth. God’s people throughout time have been called to be a blessing to the world around them so that the world would come to know Him. But what does this look like in our current context today? What does it mean to seek the welfare of the community that God has placed us in (Jer 29:7)? What does it mean to enter into good works as a result of our faith (James 2:14-17)? What does it look like to love others in both deed and in truth (1 John 3:18)?
Rock Dillaman, former pastor of Allegheny Center Alliance Church in downtown Pittsburgh, PA will be sharing with us his personal experience in answering these questions. ACAC is an urban church that grew to have a significant gospel impact in the lives of thousands of people throughout the local community. Join us on Wednesday, June 16, from 6:30 – 8:00 PM in Albermarle Park as Mosaic, York Alliance Church, and others seek to understand God’s heart for our communities!
